Dr. Christine L. Currie has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Masters degree and a Ph.D. in Counseling. In addition, she has completed a theological education certificate and state teacher certification requirements. She is both a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor and has attained additional training in play therapy, neurofeedback, educational and behavioral testing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Christine and her husband have been missionaries in Russia since 1993. She has worked as an English teacher and a counselor at an international school in Moscow, and is the owner of a private practice in counseling.
Christine is an active member of several national professional organizations including the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), the American Counseling Association (ACA), and Chi Sigma Iota (CSI), the national counseling honor society. She has presented at international, national, state, and regional conferences on a variety of topics, including trauma impact, assessment, and treatment; attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder; neurofeedback; relationships; and communication. Dr. Currie and her husband Mark have four grown children.
